Dr. Julia A. Schnabel is a University Lecturer in Engineering Science (Medical Imaging)  at the University of Oxford, and the Engineering Fellow at St. Hilda's College, Oxford. Her research area is in (bio)medical image analysis, in particular nonlinear image registration and motion tracking, image segmentation, and statistical and biomechanical shape and deformation analysis.  Some clinical applications she is currently interested in are cancer imaging, perinatal monitoring, and neurodegenerative diseases. Julia has published over 150 international journal articles and peer-reviewed conference papers, is an invited Associate Editor for Medical Physics, on the Editorial Board of Medical Image Analysis, Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, and on the scientific review committee for most major medical imaging conferences and journals.
