Professor Alison Noble elected Fellow of the Women’s Engineering Society
Fellowships are awarded to women who have made an outstanding contribution to the field of engineering or a related sector, to the sustained encouragement of women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), or in service to the Women's Engineering Society.
National Women in Engineering Day on 23 June 2014.is the only significant, multidisciplinary network for women in science, technology and engineering in the UK. The Society has been instrumental in engaging other agencies in working to inspire more women into science, technology, engineering, education and careers. Its activities range from offering mentorship programmes, education and outreach support, to lobbying the Government on gender diversity and equality issues.
