Updated 30/03/2014: Professor Tarassenko speaks at the World Economic Forum in Davos
Professor Tarassenko, together with Andrew Thompson, Proteus’ CEO and Dr Steve Cole of UCLA gave presentations in a one-hour session on 22nd January on how engineering, chemistry and biology can combine to create digital health, leading to a step change in the way that we maintain health and well-being. Professor Tarassenko also spoke at the Ideas Lab organised by the University on 23rd January on building self-monitoring healthcare technology into everyday living.
The theme of this year’s World Economic Forum meeting is ‘The Reshaping of the World: Consequences for Society, Politics and Business’. It is exploring how profound political, economic, social and, above all, technological forces are transforming the world, how power is shifting away from traditional hierarchies and how the international community can develop a long-term, strategic outlook rather than remaining focused on crisis.
Professor Tarassenko also spoke at the Ideas Lab organised by the University on 23rd January on building self-monitoring healthcare technology into everyday living.
The video of his five-minute presentation can be found below.
