 Khair Razlan Othman

Academic Background

Khair R. Othman graduated from Multimedia University, Malaysia with B.Eng (Hons) Degree in Electronics Engineering (Computer). He is then received his MSc degree in Radio Frequency Communications System Engineering from University of Southampton in 2006.


Research Interest

Khair is currently a first year DPhil candidate at the University of Oxford, working under supervision of Prof J. Alison Noble. He is also a part of the Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in Healthcare Innovation.  

His current work is focusing on the application of Computer Vision and Machine Learning to the analysis of 2D/3D fetal ultrasound images. In particular, his project aims to model and provide an automated detection and recognition of the standardized plane using visual features. His current research interests are in the areas of object detection and localization, pattern recognition and machine learning.
