We have recently started a collaboration with the Nuffield Department of Anaesthetics to investigate how we can obtain clinically useful information from data recorded non-invasively from patients with respiratory diseases. This information has to be both robust and clinically useful, so we are developing techniques based on models of breathing to extract this information, which will help in diagnosis and treatment of lung disease.
