Brian graduated from Imperial College London with a MEng in Biomedical Engineering in 2014. He completed numerous research projects throughout his undergraduate degree under the supervision of Dr Darryl Overby in the Ocular Biomechanics Laboratory, where he primarily worked on experimental quantification of intraocular pressure and flow of aqueous humour in the eye through digital Schiøtz tonometry.

In October 2014, Brian joined the Centre for Doctoral Training in Healthcare Innovation at the University of Oxford with St Cross College. He began his doctoral research in October 2015 under the supervision of Professor Constantin Coussios and Professor Robin Cleveland. His DPhil research investigates the use of ultrasound-mediated hyperthermia for targeted drug release in tumours.
