Dr Ida Iranmanesh

Ida IranmaneshIda received her PhD in “Acoustofluidics” from the School of Enginering Sciences, Department of Applied Physics, Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm, Sweden in June 2015.Engineering

During her PhD studies, Ida developed a multi-step and multi-functional ultrasonic sample preparation platform on a single microfluidic chip that can be used for different cell-based assays.

At her first post-doctoral post in “clinical microfluidics” at the Department of Proteomics & NanoBiotechnology, School of Biotechnology, KTH, she developed polymer-based microfluidic devices (using click-chemistry) suitable to integrate with ultrasonic standing waves.

Ida joins BUBBL at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering of Oxford University in July 2016. She plans to develop a microfluidic platform to produce stable and monodisperse microbubble contrast agents that are used both for imaging and drug delivery.
