Dr Qiang Wu

Qiang graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2013 with a Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, and received his PhD in 2018 from USTC. He began his doctoral research in the laboratory Multimodal Biomedical Imaging and Therapy (MBIT) under the supervision of Professor Ronald Xu. The initial two years of Ph.D. study, he focused on learning various methods for the fabrication of micro/nanodroplets, including microfluidics, flow focusing, emulsification, and sonication methods. After which, he worked on the investigation on the fabrication of multifunctional micro/nanodroplets for biomedical applications, such as cancer treatment, drug delivery and biomedical imaging.

In 2018, he joined the BUBBL group at the University of Oxford as a Post-Doctoral Researcher to develop acoustically responsive nanodroplets for targeted delivery of osteogenic drugs.
