An affordable prosthetic hand for India

In collaboration with researchers at the Centre for Product Design and Manufacture at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, we are developing novel designs for affordable prosthetic hands. Initial work will focus on design for manufacturability and designing clinical trial protocols.

A virtual laboratory for prosthetic hand testing

The testing and trialling phase of a novel prosthetic hand is a lengthy and costly process. Using musculoskeletal modelling and other optimisation tools we are investigating optimal designs for prostheses.
