In silico mechanobiology

In silico mechanobiology

We use computational models of living tissue as it responds to mechanical stimuli in concert with biological signals to understand processes of tissue healing and remodelling. Targets include predicting the healing response of the human Achilles tendon, and predicting the progression of aneurysms in the vascular system.

This work is carried out in close collaboration with Paul Watton at ISIGNEO, Sheffield.
