Tendinopathy and tendon rupture are common clinical problems, however the mechanisms of their healing are not well understood. This knowledge is vital in assisting engineers, scientists and clinicians to provide better treatments for tendon disorders. Thus, my work is designed to address the mechanobiological behaviour of tendon healing by using computational modelling approach. Combination of structural development and mechano-regulation algorithms are used in order to produce a reliable model capable of mimicking mechanobiological process of tendon healing.
