Research Interests

Biomaterials for tissue engineering, stem cell differentiation, biomechanics, polymer scaffolds, biological and mechanical cross-analysis, co-culture and interfacial tissues regeneration

 

Background

Education

2015: PhD, Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC, France) in the Biomechanics and Bioengineering Laboratory (UMR CNRS 7338 BMBI). Biological and mechanical characterization of a biohybrid bone substitute rebuilt in bioreactor for maxillofacial applications. Study of new materials (electrospinning) for bone-to-tendon tissue engineering. Human stem cells/endothelial cells co-culture and mechanical solicitations in situ.

2012: Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, École Supérieure des Sciences et Technologies de l’Ingénieur de Nancy (ESSTIN, now Polytech Nancy, Lorraine INP, France).

 

Work Experience

Nov. 2015 – Dec. 2017: Post-doctoral fellow at McGill University (Montréal, Québec, Canada). Biomat’X laboratory, Pr. Maryam Tabrizian. Injectable chitosan sponges characterization, in vivo and in vitro optimization for bone regeneration applications. Adipose-derived stem cell encapsulation (collaboration with Dr. Hamdy’s lab, Shriners hospital for children) for bone critical size defects.

Feb. 2012 – July 2012: Cell and Tissue Biophysics Imaging Platform (FR3209 CNRS - PTIBC – IBISA, Biopôle, Nancy, France). Study of a multiphoton confocal microscopy prototype for the analysis of the mechanical properties of biological tissues.
