Research Interests

I am DPhil Student working in the field of skin engineering at IBME. I graduated with an MBChB (Hons) from The University of Edinburgh in 2014. I am interested in creating synthetic skin substitutes using electrospun membranes and microporous hydrogels. In particular, I would like to create microchannels within hydrogels using microfluidic technology and soft photolithography platform as a pre-vascularized scaffold for synthetic skin. I am also interested in bioprinting technology to create tissues for implantation or drug screening purposes.

Research Projects

Creating novel bio-intelligent skin scaffolds using native protein hydrogels
