CDT in Healthcare Innovation student Marco Pimentel and team from Said win WBS International Healthcare Case Competition - May 19th 2014

The Oxford University team of Marco Pimentel, Sindhura Varanasi, Grace Lam and Yen Nyugen were chosen by panel as the team with the best business plan and awarded £4,000.

 Image of Marco Pimmentel and the Said winner's teamThe WBS International Healthcare Case Competition, sponsored by leading healthcare solutions provider GE Healthcare and technology giant IBM, chose the Oxford University Said Business School group as its winners.

The case demanded to create a scalable business model and a market implementation plan for a cloud computing service that would help different stakeholders in the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of neurological conditions.

The group impressed the panel, which included industry experts from both GE Healthcare and IBM, to beat out 12 teams from other business schools from Europe with their proposal of a scalable business model for a big data clinical neuroscience platform.
